"For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin...But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life"
My name is Kellie. I am a lot of things, but first and foremost I am me. I haven't figured out every detail as to who I am but for the most part I have it figured out. I am a daughter, a grand-daughter, a sister, a cousin, an auntie, a niece, and a friend. I live, I love, I laugh, and I cry. I am independent, stubborn, willing to learn, helpful, compassionate, respectful, sympathetic and unique. I am with no arguement a complete Daddy's Girl. I try to live life drama free. I don't hate people because for one, life is too short to be hating and for another, it takes too much time and energy to hate a person. I am a Native American enrolled in the Upper Skagit Tribe, I am also Cowichan, Lakes, Irish, and little bit Hawaiian. I love to learn as much as I can about my culture and hope to someday be a fluent speaker of the Okanogan dialect, nselxcin. My family means the world to me. Without them I wouldn't be who I am today. They are my strength, my rock, and my best friends. And even though I don't say it very often, I love them all like there's no tomorrow. There is only one person in my life who isn't blood related but definitely should be. We been through hell and we always manage to come back together to live life to the fullest. (Love you Tasheen!) I'm not much of a girly girl and don't mind getting dirty. I like to do things for myself and sometimes have a hard time asking for help. I am an accounting student at Western Governors University and hope to someday open my own business that will help Native people. I spend most of my time with a group of people who haven't failed to always be there. We call ourselves the Kwazy Sweeming Kwokadiles and we are always good for belly achin' laughs! This is only a little bit about me, if you want to know more, just ask.
"Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these."
