Oroboros: a serpent depicted as swallowing its own tail representing infinity, eternal return; the descent of spirit into the physical world and its return therefore. Oroboros formed in 1999 in New Orleans, when a group of artistically minded individuals came together to create a diverse, progressive sound by combining elements of tribal, world, rock, electronic music and individual vocal styles. The band played it's first show in the vast majestic Nevada desert at the Burning Man Festival 1999. After returning to New Orleans Oroboros began playing many different venues including Tipitina's, Cafe Brazil, 735 Club and the A.R.K., integrating extensive drumming, fire dancing, visual and performance arts into an intense sensor experience.

While only four songs, the music of this talented young band sounds like they have been doing this for a decade. Soft, yet effective compositions align this with sculptured beauty and priceless sounds of sincere emotional highs. Songs like the bizarre "Supernatural" and opener "Transcend" unfold with strong results, easily captivating the listener with the use of numerous instruments, electronics and lots of passion. Weird and a little out there at times, the experimental flow of Oroboros could easily bring even the most savage into a sedated slumber. Powerful in so many ways."
