Hawkeye was a 1994-1995 TV series set in the Hudson Valley of 1755 during the French and Indian War.
Lee Horsley played the title role Hawkeye. He was a hunter and woodsman who sometimes scouted for the British of Fort Bennington.
Lynda Carter played Elizabeth Shields. Her and her husband William had left Virginia to operate a trading post at the fort. The were attacked by Hurons and saved by Hawkeye and his friend Chingachgook.
William Shields was later betrayed by his brother, Captain Taylor Shields, the second in command at Fort Bennington. Captain Shields arranged for William to be captured by the Hurons.
Without her husband, Elizabeth continued to operate the trading post and over several episodes she and Hawkeye developed a close relationship.
The series was filmed on location in British Columbia.
