Spectre

About Me

Spectre was formed by Vocalist and Rhythm Guitar player Jamie Nicholls and Lead Guitar player Michael Cooper in June 2007.
By July they began to work on some covers for a local open mic night and Jamie's brother Jack Nicholls was asked to complete the band line up on the Drums after jamming with them at a practice session.
They have been a house band to many venues in the area and have been promoted in local newspapers.
They have also won competitions like the Battle Of The Bands, Schools Of Rock 2008 at the Robin 2.
They have played at acoustic festivals and have wowed the crowds enough to be requested to play again this year.
Playing well known venues in wolverhampton and walsall like the Little Civic has provided them with a reputation, which has gained them recognition in those areas.
Dean Walker was asked to play Bass with Spectre where upon they havnt looked back since. "Their sound is sharp contemporary Indie-Rock played with enthusiasm and conviction by a group of talented musicians. Well-written, danceable songs packed with vocal and guitar hooks, it’s an accessible sound but at the same time there’s some real depth and creativity on show." - Stephen Hudyba, Festival Review 2009.
Michael
has been playing guitar for around 8 years and was inspired to play after being heavily influenced by The Offspring's Conspiracy of One album.
Jamie has been playing guitar for nearly 2 years and was inspired to become a singer and play guitar after meeting Paolo Nutini.
Jack has been playing drums for around a year and a half, he began playing after he was given a drum kit for his birthday. His main inspiration is Bloc Party.
Dean has been playing bass for just over a year and was first influenced to play after meeting bowling for soup.

THE DAZZLER GETS HIS GROOVE ON!
- The sound quality is very poor but this has to be seen! A friend and fan of the band struts his stuff to one of our songs by the fountain in Walsall! -
