About Me

Photography is more than simply taking a picture with a camera. There is an art to getting that great shot. Producing music is undeniably similar. There is much more to the process than hitting record. This is something often overlooked in independently run recording studios. It's about vision, hearing something that isn't there....yet. Experimentation, getting something to jump out and catch the listener's attention. In the 7+ years producer Justin Moore has been producing bands, the recording quality has gotten better and better, but something that's always been a staple of every recording experience has been producing the artist's music in a way that sets it willfully apart from their live sound. Giving a recording character. Giving breath and life to an artist's ideas. This is something you will undoubtedly receive if you record at The Darkroom. Listen to the artist samples to get a taste of this fresh perspective on producing local music.
This section is to show you some kind words that bands have bestowed upon the darkroom with no request on my end. These words are pulled from messages they sent, conversations we had, or blogs they posted. I am pretty sure if you contact any band I've worked with they will have good things to say about their experience at the darkroom, but, here's some assurance working with me will be worth your time and money.
"Your recording quality is absolutely phenominal and we had a really fun time since you weren't some old dude. We are dead set for always recording with you and suggest any band to head you're way. You're the Foundation Studios of Ohio. :]" -David, Fancy Me Dead
"I have never been more pleased with any recordings i've ever done in any band. it sounds so thick and great and i can't thank you enough." -Pete Disalvo, The Great American Beast
"Any bands that are interested in recording we would definitely recommend The Darkroom. Justin is an excellent producer/sound engineer, and gave us some great ideas to make our songs better. His recording quality is outstanding, and the cost is little. We cannot fully show our thanks to Justin for his work." -Forlorn Hope's Blog
"I've been with the music industry for some time and never had a producer and engineer that put his time in to make great recordings for local bands. Justin gives a great environment for bands to spend time recording and concentrates the band not to be nervous and just have a great time. I recommend Justin/The Darkroom to anyone because you will just have a great relaxing time with Justin in the studio." -Drew, This Betrayal
"No doubt we are for sure coming back, for numerous reasons. One being how sweet of a guy you are and all your tight lingo, two being you know more about this stuff than any of us will ever be fortunate enough to know and you have awesome suggestions, and three being that u have very affordable rates and incredible quality to almost make it too good to be true."-Wilson and The Hour of Betrayal
