Slow Djinn Fez

About Me

Slow Djinn Fez is a Middle-Eastern fusion band based in Reno, Nevada. We play original compositions as well as traditional music, sometimes in very nontraditional ways. Our music has its roots in Middle Eastern countries such as Egypt, Israel, & Turkey, and then it branches out across Europe, South Asia, and the Americas. Don’t be surprised if some Flamenco, Jazz, Tango, Surf Rock, or Techo flavors are included in one of our musical cocktails! At many of our shows we have the pleasure of working with some of the talented bellydancers in the area. Come see our unique form of folk fusion for yourself!Slow Djinn Fez currently has four members playing instruments including: clarinet, soprano sax, oud, flamenco guitar, bass, tablas, darbukka, tar, riq, and electronic percussion. Occasional guests contribute violin, bouzeki, dulcimer, flute, and more to the mix.

The music includes both original compositions and traditional Middle Eastern folk tunes, and a CD featuring songs from the show is available via PayPal by clicking here.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
