About Me
I'm a composer, improviser, pianist, synthesist, sound artist, programmer and researcher. Welcome to my page.
Sometimes I describe myself like this:
I've performed a Noh theatre solo in full costume and mask in Japanese TV, composed for Egyptian dancers at the Library of Alexandria, written manuals for Microsoft and played a modular synth with wooden sticks in Northern Iceland. My music has been used in stress research on newborn babies, and I keep colonies of virtual sonic creatures in my laptop. I did a PhD in how to make computers compose, and I was co-founder of the unique international master's program Art & Technology in Göteborg, teaching artists from over forty countries how to integrate advanced technology in their work.
Currently, I am associate senior lecturer in computer-aided creativity at the Department of Applied Information Technology, University of Gothenburg/Chalmers, and I teach electronic music at the Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburg. I also sometimes collaborate with eminent synth manufacturer Clavia/NORD.
I live with my family on the island of Brännö, on the West coast of Sweden.
