The quick and easy answer is OMANI means "Positivity".
But OMANI is not just one thing, nor is it easily or accurately defined.
OMANI is about celebration or enlightenment or things and behaviors that help you find your own way. This open concept means that OMANI can mean many things, and even different things to different people. Some common themes are "Peace, Love, Happiness, Acceptance, Consideration, Empathy, Honesty, Patience, Forgiveness, Humility, Unity, Personal Growth, and Compassion."
The word itself was constructed from the first three syllable sounds of the compassion mantra: Om Mani Padme Hum . The act of speaking the syllable sounds is said to guide one on the path to enlightenment.
OM: purifies the neurotic attachment to bliss and pride.
MA: helps perfect the practice of pure ethics.
NI: helps achieve perfection in the practice of tolerance and patience.
The term bija is used for mystical "seed syllables" contained within mantras. These seeds do not have precise meanings, but are thought to carry connections to spiritual principles. The best-known bija syllable is Om, first found in the Hindu scriptures the Upanishads.
The word Om (Aum) derives from the Sanskrit language. It symbolizes unfolding or expansion.
When pronounced, it begins in the lungs, and ends on the lips. It is used frequently when chanting mantras or meditating.
Om (Aum) is said to be the primordial sound that was present at the creation of the universe, a similar concept to the Greek Logos. It is said to be the original sound that contains all other sounds, all words, all languages and all mantras.
Om (Aum) is the signifier of the ultimate truth that all is one.
