Smackin Isaiah

THIS PAGE HAS NO OFFICIAL TIES TO SMACKIN ISAIAH, OR A WILHELM SCREAM.Probably the most incredible phenominon to ever come out of the New Bedford music scene, to this day, now known as A Wilhelm Scream.Smackin' Isaiah formed in 1996 in New Bedford, Massachusetts when most of its members were still in high school, the rest is history.They put out a few tapes in the early days, most notably: "Give Girls More Beer..." Their first full-length album was "The Way To A Girl's Heart Is Through Her Boyfriend's Stomach." (The original copy of this cd is a blue cd and full color artwork, its re-issue is a red disc with black and white booklet.) Most of the releses were on TANK records, a self-run label. Later on most of those releses were picked up and re-issued by other labels. Their last album before changing their name to A Wilhelm Scream was Benefits of Thinking Out Loud. It was released three times, twice under Smackin' Isaiah and once under A Wilhelm Scream. If your lucky enough to have the orginal one, its in a PS2 Game case, and still bears the Smackin' Isaiah name and the TANK records logo. Smackin' Isaiah became A Wilhelm Scream in 2004 and was shortly theirafter signed to Nitro Records, they have 3 Full Length Albums on Nitro and have toured the world nonstop since. Never forgetting their roots, Wilhelm still maintains their hometown residency by playing local shows in the greater new bedford area at least once a year or so.
