Where to start? The name RefleKtion derived from many things; reflecting on life, how he was raised...just reflecting on what was thrown at him. He would like to think of himself as a different "artist" in the underground world(you have to be). He often listens to other emcees trying to make their marks and he says he not impressed. Not to discredit anyone it's just that so many people today are interwined in the same type of movement. So RefleKtion figured since the crowd was going right he would go left.Music is life, with emotions which we all have. Alot of artists today try to create a certain image and act as if they are immortal and haven't been through real life problems. Reflektion believe's that sound/music is the key to our emotions. It can be a powerful thing. It can lift you up, help you get through life, etc. RefleKtion writes each song with thought behind it and he believes that all of his lyrics have meaning. Often using metaphors to characterize his lyricism.He often makes his music to reach out to EVERY culture & race. Though it's rap oriented, it has many elements of different genre's. He believes this approach brings a more creative sound and feel to his music.RefleKtion doesn't really like to rap about killing, drugs, etc. BUT he does speak on it, just in a more complex way. He would like to think of himself as a blend of many artists; Lupe Fiasco, Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda, Common and some others. All of our goals as upcoming emcees are the same but if he makes it or not, he just want to be heard.
