The instrument played on these tracks is called the 'Bumskin'. It is a unique, handmade work of art that was built by a good friend of mine (Nafi) in Goa. After living in Goa for six years, the music just seemed to flow through me effortlessly. I found myself creating these calming , peacefull vibes that people just loved. The theraputic sound that the'Bumskin' produces is unique and a great stress reliever.
The first album created with the 'Bumskin' was 'The Orange Key' in 2006. On this album I collaborated with two musicians, Shayne Ballentyne and Louise Jones. We managed to fuse Celtic and Indian vibes to create something beautiful. Ballentyne played the acoustic guitar and Louise Jones contributed with her immaculate vocals. The 'Orange Key' session was recorded in Goa. We set up the recording equipment, turned the lights out, lit up loads of candles, got really chilled out, and just hit the record button. What we managed to capture that night was really magical. (check out the 4 minute sample of 'Amazing')
The second album ' The Space Between' was recorded here in London. The first track , 'The Space Between....' is a 28 minute track which grew popular with people into yoga and meditation. The 'Bumskin' takes the listener deep into the inner most depths of themselves. (check out the 4 minute sample)
The last track on the album is my rendition of Norweign Wood . I love this song , and found that it was the perfect track to express both eastern and western influences. Im sure George Harrison would be proud of the track.
