Reign of Fire

About Me

The Reign of Fire concept started as a project to put together a couple original song ideas that Cory, kid wonder on lead guitar, created in early 2006. That's when Len, the old man from the early 80s local rock scene, usually rhythm guitar and vox, recognized this brilliance and started molding these ideas into arrangements, with melody and lyrics. In Fall of 2007, they were joined in the project by Jack, genius on drums, who brought professional recording, writing, production, and stage experience to the table. Jack, however, was committed to previous projects and could only be involved peripherally after winter of 07-08. In December Stan, on bass, entered the fold. The music is still in development phase, each song basically still a mostly blank canvass waiting to have the artistic finishing touches on them to make them publishable. All the songs are of course copyrighted and also registered with BMI.The Reign of Fire lineup is not yet complete. But it is and will be a balance of seasoned experience combined with young talent. These songs so far posted are just work files, not even demos yet. They are definitely not complete. Look for the material to be addressed professionally during the winter season.

Band Website: We'll use this one for now...
Band Members: Cory on lead guitar. Len on rhythm and male vox. Stan on bass. Jack on drums (for "Apophis", posted here.) Cory generally writes the riffs, Len generally writes the melody/lyrics/arrangements. Stan has now been contributing music and lyrical material as well.
Influences: everything..lol.. Staind, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, RHCP, GNR, Jimmy Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AIC. Basically everything from Otis Redding to Lamb of God. I tried listening to "My Chemical Romance",... I'm sorry, I just don't get it...
Sounds Like: I can't really put a finger on exactly who it sounds like. It is influenced by the above and more, but the intepretation is all home grown. The songs vary from almost metal to almost folk, but generally fall into a dark twilight zone in between. The songs are definitely unique and distinctive.
