About Me

My dad says I'm strong-willed. My Grandpa says I'm worldly conscious. My friends say I'm opinionated, forward and "kind yet firm." My brother says I'm dangerous. My mom says I'm a weird child. I just think I'm an excellent speller. After the '85 Bears won the Superbowl the family moved from outside Chi to Indiana. Grew up a Hoosier and lived on a lake. Memories of swimming, exploring, and rolling up wads of bread, sticking it in my mouth and then baiting my hook with the gooey goodness. I always threw the fish back. Huge fast forward to Indiana University...Australia...Florida...AmeriCorps...All life changing experiences. On to SF and loving every moment of it, all the while wondering if I'm every going to stop feeling like I'm still 19.

My Interests

Adding anything positive to strengthen an idle world... I like to think I change lives on a daily basis through my work. Outside of that "day job" I vol ref boys basketball games in the TL on Friday nights. I challenge my friends to ask yourselves what you do for your community and the world you live in?

Television:

ugh - one beautiful summer evening i was taking a boat ride around the lake. i noticed that i could see inside each persons house. this is what i saw... husband/wife sitting in front of television.my theory...no wonder the rate of divorce is so high! it's like this... time spent in television = no new life experiences = nothing learned/nothing to discuss/no new experiences to share with each other and learn from/no competition/no thought provoking ideas to share. This in turn leads to an intensely uneventful and boring life. What is left to do but nit pick and eat... leaving fat, unhappy and angry couple's.TV = BAD.now...saying that, i've been known the watch some simpsons and seinfeld.

Books:

Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin and Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich

What a year kids. What a year!

After college I moved to Florida.  The beaches were too crowded and the ocean was too hot.  Now, I celebrate my one year anniversary in California.  The beaches are never crowded and sw...
