About Me

Welcome to the Official Georgia Still Standing Street Team. This site is NOT ran by the band or any member of the band! So please do not send us messages or comments referring to us as if we were them. We’re here to promote the band so we can get them a fan base started in Georgia.
We have banners that you can use to promote this site on the web so other people in GA will find us. Also, you can find tons of Still Standing banners on their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/stillstanding. We also have fliers that you can print out and hand out to people.
We’re still trying to get our site the best we can and it’s a long process, so please hang in there!
If you promote the site or band and you live in GA, then please shoot us a message! I know how crazy Georgia fans are, so I know you won’t dissapoint!

Still StandingWho is Still Standing? The name Still Standing represents a band, but it also serves as validation to this punk rock trio out of Philadelphia. When Hardship and tribulation take course, rather than admitting defeat, Still Standing channels their vulnerability into music to create indestructible songs. When twins Justin and Johnny were 12 years old their life was turned upside down when their father, Seminal guitarist Tony Santoro, died. The years to come were turbulent; the boys moved to a new neighborhood and consequently found themselves in the middle of fights and often had to rely on their fists just to carry .. a while of an excessive downward spiral the twins realized that they had only each other to depend on and a basement full of their father's guitars. They taught each other how to play and later found their purpose in music. The brothers began writing songs and playing with other musicians in order to create the right combination for a band. Finally, in 1999 drummer Alex Z. stepped in and Still Standing was formed. The band has developed a strong fan base by playing any gig that they possibly could. They’re growing it the old fashioned way, one delirious teenager at a time. The band found themselves at the center of a growing punk rock scene in Philadelphia. Their hard work was realized when they played a show with their mates Sugarcult and sent 350 kids into rapture. It got so crazy that the fans blocked the exits so the group couldn’t leave until they signed more autographs. Everything was moving along at full tilt until the band met adversity yet again. One night, after a gig, the band came out to their van to find that it had been broken into and that all of their gear had been ripped off. The band felt beaten, but rather than accepting ruin, they chose to borrow instruments and honor their booked performances, eventually earning enough money to replace their gear. Again, the band prevailed...A break came their way when they were given an opportunity to record with producer Tommy Henriksen in Los Angeles. They scraped money together, made their way to LA and slept on floors during the night. The outcome was beyond everyone's expectations when their latest EP was completed. The collection of songs expresses defiance through masterful song writing and musicianship. Still Standing are three kids who play loud music and wear their hearts on their sleeves. They regret nothing and apologize for even less.Who‘s in Still Standing?Justin C. - Bass/Lead Vocals Johnny C. - Guitars/Background Vocals Alex Z. - DrumsWhere to find Still StandingMyspace hereOfficial website hereStill Standing Georgia Street TeamAdd us here
