About Me

What is "post-jazz"?
Smart Ass Answer: It’s what happens after jazz (but before the cheese course).
Real Short Answer: It’s jazz-influenced, improvisational instrumental music.
Alternate Short Answer: It’s jazz music played by rock musicians.
Longer and More Pretentious Answer: Post-jazz is post-modern jazz. Using elements taken jazz-influenced music from the 20th century (jazz, blues, funk, rock), post-jazz seeks to build on, re-interpret, and enjoy what has tickled our ears over our collective lifetime.

The Cool Blood Trio plays post-jazz music for the masses. Slip them under your musical covers.
