The Utrecht- born L-tuziasm (1981) describes his style as “Technorientated Musicâ€, meaning a big blend of electronic styles with techno influences, like Minimal, Acid and Techhouse.
At the age of 16 he gets infected with the House Virus. Due to Techno parties in the Utrecht area including small and unusual illegal ones, like tunnels and crack houses he became enthusiastic. He really enjoyed the underground atmosphere back there, strange decorations, walls filled with graffiti and eccentric party people. But most of all he was attracted to the music the DJ’s played.
Thanks to these parties he spends more and more money buying records and started playing at parties from friends. In 2000 he started organizing parties with Chill-Style, like Chillegal Beats, Back To Techno and Technieklokaal. From that moment he is asked to play more often and became a well known DJ in the local scene.
In 2007 L-Tuziasm won a DJ-contest of partysite Partyflock, with Dutch DJ and producer Bart Skils as a jury member. This resulted in a one hour gig at a party called Flockers in football stadium Gelredome. With this motivating experience on his mind, he decides to join the Bootleg DJ Contest in Rotterdam. Thanks to this contest he played a set on Dynamix-Radio. In the semi-final he loses with a half point from the final winner. Thereafter he is asked to play more often in Rotterdam. After the international In Charge DJ Contest for Dance Valley, Dutch DJ and producer Marco V was very impressed by his great talent and mentioned him in a special list with 25 DJ’s from all over the world. He says:
"The following 25 DJ's made a big impression on me and I wanted to show them my appreciation by giving them free access to the In Charge promo list until the end of the year."
By 2007 L-Tuziasm, together with Jeremy Soze, host their own night 'Chillegal Beats' in ACU in Utrecht, which takes place every other month. Every edition they invite other guest DJ’s like: Lennert Bezemer (Dualblock Recordings), Bonner (Full Spectrum), Invite (Solid Grooves), Nuno dos Santos (Extrema Music).
Besides DJ ’ing, L-Tuziasm wrote reviews for former site Technolusion. He is also working on producing music. In the future he wants to take this part more serious. Eventually this ambitious and enthusiastic guy hopes to release his own records.
