Rainfall founds its roots in the year 2002, when a group of five people gathered to play some Therion, Candlemass and Nightwish covers. Along 2003 they started creating their own songs with a unique style that evidenced the band's influences, yet sounded different to any of them. Finally, and after some line-up changes, Rainfall was born.
The band started growing into a more mature project, distinguished by its melodic but still heavy sounds hailing from rock and metal, and classical influences seen throughout the keyboards and traverso flute arrangements; and on top of that the delicate sound of female vocals; all of which made Rainfall a complex mix full of textures.
2004 represented for the band a constant line-up change; members came and go, which made it impossible for the project to have a proper development, due to that Rainfall stopped its activities.
In December 2006 some of the members decided to gather to record some of the band’s songs, and along the recording sessions the idea of bringing Rainfall back to life appeared, and so new members where recruited, and with them a stronger and more mature Rainfall raised, to never be fallen again.
