Sounds Like: When it comes to Mike you never really can be sure what to expect. Rootsy swing and jump blues is flavor of the day when he is playing with Hot Dog Taylor. Influences range from Django, Toots Thielemans to Duke Robilard and B.B King. In Rumble Pack on the other hand, Mike is back to where he once started: Peter Green, Leslie West, Clapton (of course), Jeff Beck, Frank Marino, Jimi, Freddie and Albert King, Cary Sharaf, Carlos Santana, Ritchie Blackmore (1st edition), Jimi Page, Johnny Winter, Lars Granlund. And of course the great Clas Yngström!Since Rumble Pack is now on a prolonged vacation, Mikes expedition is heading deeper into roots music. We're talking about Sofie Reed, Anders Osborne, John Mooney, Dr. John among others who's been important in this never ending musical journey.
