Born in Philly in a musical home, Fred Vibe was destined to do music. Fred's mother was a singer and his father , the famous Fred Wesley, was a producer, writer, composer, and trombonist for James Brown and others. All his life he was surrounded by music. Fred Vibe moved to Manning, South Carolina in 1984 and fell in love with hip hop.
At the age of 14, he started deejaying with local djs and was noticed for his abiltity to scratch. Everyone in his high school admired him for that and the tapes he made for friends. After high school he moved to Atlanta to go to college for music business and recording. That's where he got into producing. His roommate had an old four track which Fred Vibe taught himself to use.
After dropping out of college in 1994, he came back to South Carolina and convinced his father to buy hima sequencing keyboard. It took him a while to learn how to use it, but he became a master at it. People aound Manning started hearing his music and he really developed a for doing beats. Not long after that, Fred Vibe and a local group opened up for the "Lost Boyz". He still continues to work with local artists in his small town.
