Rock ’N’ Country

About Me

Rock 'N' Country is a radio show that blends the sounds of artists like Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, The Eagles, Travis Tritt, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, and John Fogerty as well as many others into a one hour a week show.
We also have our "Backroad Spotlight", highlighting one Indie/Unsigned/"Here's Our Music" band during one segment, each week!
Each show is scheduled to be released on Sunday night. (This is on a temporary basis, depending on response/reviews.)
Due to the size of the podcast, and your internet connection speed, it may take a few moments for the podcast to begin playing. Please be patient.
Thanks!

Rock 'N' Country is set up for a one hour radio time-slot. That being said, the 'hour' show is on average, only 48 minutes, split into 4 segments for each show. Between each segment is 5 seconds of silence. This is designed for stations to splice and add their spot (commercial) breaks, which would give the show its 'one hour' length.

R. Joseph Reece grew up playing the Saxophone (1979) and taught himself to play drums and piano in high school (though hasn't done either of the latter two in years), as well as written lyrics and some fiction.

In 1996, he graduated from the Illinois Center for Broadcasting and began working at Joliet, IL's W.C.C.Q (98.3 FM 'Q-Country') and worked there for a time, until other commitments caused him to leave.

Reece DJ'd in area nightclubs and ran sound for bands for a time also. In 2000, he created his own DJ service while keeping a show idea mixing rock music and country in an on air show.

In the past few years, while dabbling in a small bit of voice-over work, and attempting to release his idea to a few radio stations, he knew that the internet would be the best way to get his show idea out to the public.

That time is now.

Enjoy
