My Wedding Day
I AM A DAUGHTER OF THE KING OF KINGS

Words my hubby wrote about me:
"Some may say there's not much in a name, but I say there is much in the name of the one I love. She, Esther Ruth, is a "star" in my life. Out of her shines what I call true beauty; a beauty that this fallen world knows not much of. Just like the distant stars of the sky, there is a mystery about her. This mystery beckons me to stare long and hard at who she really is. Where does she come from? What's going on in the midst of her? Despite her piercing brightness, she possesses a wonderful spirit of peace. With her face of an angel, she carries His message of life."
My Wedding:
We had a beautiful wedding- the bells rang, my man was in tears because he said I was so beautiful, and we watched white doves fly up to the sky at the end:)
My Amazing Children- Sarah, Peter, Abigail and Hannah-are my third greatest interest. I am blessed that they have been entrusted to my care here on earth; I pray for the wisdom to train them up in the way they should go. My precious little ones:

One of my favorite quotes:
"Beauty is transcendent- it is our most immediate experience of the eternal. Sometimes the beauty is so deep it pierces us with longing for life as it was meant to be. Beauty reminds us of an Eden we have never known, but somehow know our hearts were created for. Beauty speaks of heaven to come, when all shall be beautiful. It haunts us with eternity. Beauty says: there is a glory calling to you. And if there is a glory, there is a source of glory. What great goodness could have possibly created this? What generosity gave us this to behold? Beauty draws us to God."

Charlotte Mason is my educational heroine; I use her methods with my scholars.
"Mind appeals to mind and thought begets thought and that is how we become educated. For this reason, we owe it to every child to put him in communication with great minds that he may get at great thoughts; with the minds, that is, of those who have left us great works; and the only vital method of education appears to be that children should read worthy books, many worthy books." (Charlotte Mason)
"People are naturally divided into those who read and think, and those who do not read and think; and the business of schools is to see that all their scholars shall belong to the former class." (Charlotte Mason)
I hope my readers will train their children in the art of recitation; in the coming days, more even than in our own, will it behove every educated man and woman to be able to speak effectively in public; and in learning to recite, you learn to speak." (Charlotte Mason)
Things you may not have known about me:
I LOVE wind. Gentle breezes, strong gusts...I love to feel it blow my hair and dresses; I love to hear the music it makes with instruments such as trees and flagpoles; I love to see it make flowers dance and clouds sail across the sky. The Bible says that God "rides upon the wings of the wind." God's Spirit is like the wind- we cannot see it; but we can feel it, hear it deep down inside of us, and see what it does! In Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, the word for wind and for Spirit are the same: ruach in hebrew; pneuma in Greek; spiritus in Latin. John 3:7-8 (The Message Bible) says, "So don't be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be 'born from above'—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it's headed next. That's the way it is with everyone 'born from above' by the wind of God, the Spirit of God." WOW!! I am born by the wind of God!!
