Jersey Ave. Jersey Ave can be best described as the next generation of R&B. These five brothers Jacob, Anthony Jr., Nathan, Jason and Ivan are the total package – they sing, write, produce, and have all the moves that have them destined for Super Stardom! They have been compared to great harmonizers such as Boys II Men, with as much soulfulness and seductive moves as The Temptations, but with a street edge similar to R&B quartet Jodeci. These young men come from a musical background and are extremely multi-talented. Their soulfulness comes from their strong gospel background. They have been signing and performing together all their lives and have toured with their fathers gospel music group, Dick Pierson and True Life, so they are no beginners to the entertainment business. In 1994 the four older siblings formed the group LaMore, and they performed on the gospel circuit throughout the country establishing fans nationwide. Eventually, they produced their own album and signed with Gospo-Centric, the label home of contemporary gospel sensation Kirk Franklin, proving they can handle the rigorous responsibilities of being an entertainer in front and behind the scenes. In 2001 the group made their transition fro gospel to R&B, as they released their self-titled album “Jersey Ave†on MCA Records. Named after the street they grew up on in Indianapolis, IN. Jersey Ave is a one-way street to the finest contemporary R&B sound with Nu-Soul Elevation being the destination.
