Since forming in May 2006, Jive Mother Mary, formerly known as Livewire, has set a new standard for teen musicians everywhere. Despite each member being just 16 years old, the band continues to produce a refreshing, original classic rock sound, leaving aspiring bands twice their age to envy.
Although the band continues to record their music, the bands undeniable “bread and butter†is their live show. No matter how long the set, the band produces a high-energy, all-rock atmosphere that is guaranteed to make a fan out of everyone in ear-shot.
Last year alone the band played over 100 shows, opening for such rock-n-roll greats as The Black Crowes, David Allan Coe, The Wailers, Jackyl, Dokken, Blackfoot, Parmalee, Rose Hill Drive, Zoso, The Naked Beggars, Frank Bangs Secret Stash, Toyz, and Medusa Stone. They have also been featured in several newspaper and magazine articles around their home state, North Carolina. In addition, they have been interviewed on the local radio station, Rock 96.1 and had some of their original songs played on 101.1 WZTK.
With their feet firmly planted in the music industry, the band recently released their first self-titled EP. The album is available for purchase at all shows, as well as Jive Mother Mary t-shirts, bumper stickers, window clings, and other merchandise.
With countless played shows, lots of local media attention, a kick ass new album, loads of merchandise, and an undeniable, all original, in-your-face rock and roll sound under their belt, the future of Jive Mother Mary is looking brighter than ever.
