Christian Myspace LayoutsFirst off: Welcome! The New Life Adventure Church is just getting started, from the ground up actually! As a small group the Lord has brought us together from different backgrounds, lifestyles and ages. From our youngest at 7 to our oldest at 51 God has given us such an awesome team to start.
Behind the Name: New Life Adventure has such a great meaning behind it!
The "New Life" half comes from Acts 5:20 were it says:
"Go and stand in the temple yard. Tell the people everything about this new life (In Jesus)"
"New Life" = Going out and making God's love and wants for you his people known! The other half "Adventure" is from Ezekiel 36: 26-28 which says: 26 "And I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you: I will take away the heart of stone from your flesh, and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit in you, causing you to be guided by my rules, and you will keep my orders and do them. 28 So that you may go on living in the land which I gave to your fathers; and you will be to me a people, and I will be to you a God." "Adventure" = When beginning your New Life in Christ you will start on the greatest Adventure you ever could imagine! Just by reading God's own words in the Scripture we can see the miraculous things that He will do for those that come to know him through His Son! What an amazing new life we can have with Jesus!
Why us, why now? We feel the Lord has given us a calling to reach out to people that are tried of the mainstream type of church. We are frustrated with the judgement, cliques, and rejections that all of us have felt at one time or another while attending church. As a non-denominational church we feel that many of today's church's have gotten away from the basics of Christianity and what God really wants from us. Together we are finding out the answers many of us have so desperately sought after or even just wondered about. What is it like to walk into a "church" and feel love, warmth and acceptance? What is it like to call a fellow believer and know that they really do care about you and whatever it is that you are going through? That's what New Life is all about!
