Born and bred in Brazil,well until 2001 when I moved to Leeds to study English. I love music. I always have. I like the sound and the rhythms of music. Music is my inspiration.I started playing the Brazilian drums when I was quite young and went on the teach samba drumming bands (Batucada) in college in Brazil. I entered several competitions with my band in Santarem and was champion 4 times.I currently teach Samba drumming to the Leeds University Brazilian society. They play regularly at the Faversham bar and club in Leeds. You can find a video of one of our nights at the Faversham on U tube under Batuka Brazil in Leeds.I play everything Latin. Salsa from across the globe, Reaggaeton, Salsaton, Merengue, Bachata, a wide selection of Brazilian music -Samba, Forro, Axe, Zouk. I also play R&B and Hip-Hop when required.I DJ in Leeds and anywhere in the world I get a chance to play. I started playing at Homarus bar in Leeds in 2003. Since then I have played in Edinburgh at the Havana club. Manchester I’ve played at several salsa clubs including Copa Cabana and Moso Moso Latino and most recently at Che Bar & Restaurant. I have also done a few Salsa congresses which I thoroughly enjoyed. I played at Pontins salsa weekender 2005 and Doncaster 2007.I now play regularly in Leeds at Viva Cuba Leeds central as one of the resident DJ’s. I am also one of the residents DJ’s at the most popular Brazilian night in the North at the Faversham. I play alongside Fabio Bahia one of the best in the industry.I am working very hard to build a solid career in the Dj business. Delivering great music with style for the enjoyment of all my listeners. I am passionate about the quality of my music and will only play from original CD’s. I have an extensive and constantly growing library of music from every latin genre imaginable. My mixing technique has been hailed by the best in the industry.I Love working with a wide range of talented musicians from across the globe, promoting their music to a wide audience.
