When asked why the young crooner chose to sing these songs, he said, "This is the Great American Songbook we're talking about. These are the greatest songs ever written, both lyrically and rhythmically. When you sing these songs you get such a rush from the audience because everyone loves these tunes. You show me a person who says that they don't like "I've got the World on a String" or "Fly me to the Moon" and I'll show you a person who's lying!"Donnie is also the lead singer of "The New Band"! The New Band came together the way many great bands do... collaboration! A number of different musical projects brought the five members of The New Band together.
