RADIOKATVE is a duo project formed in 2006 by thereminist Janos Honkonen and guitarist Risto Paalanen who have previously collaborated in the band Älymystö . RADIOKATVE gives them an opportunity to explore structures and textures that might be too abstract for Älymystö's more physical approach.
Their sound is a combination of heavily effected theremin washes, unconventional electric guitar, random radio transmissions, power supply interference and dictaphone recordings.
The duo does not use pre-written structures when performing. All shows are unique; no rules are adhered to; everything is permitted.
