About Me

Johan Hermansson was born 1965 and raised in the north of Sweden. He is currently working and residing in Arjeplog.
Johan's interest in instrumental / electronic music started when he was about 12, when he bought his first record, "Platinum" by Mike Oldfield.
His interest grew and he started listening to bands like Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean Michelle Jarre, Kitaro, Tomita etc.
He loved the way these musicians could tell a story, or paint pictures in your head with music only, without interesting lyrics.
When he was between 16-18 he played drums and bass in local bands. Johan became serious about music composition around the age of 25, and he bought his first synthesizer, a Roland D-50. A year later he bought an Atari computer and a Roland JV-30. With those and Steinberg Cubasis sequenser program he started composing his own music, and he hasn't been able to stop since.
You can also find me on myspace under the name Johan Hermansson
