About Me

Mind over matter is the saying I live by. I'm always researching, experimenting and exploring. I'm artistic and creative. I love to travel. It's a big world out there, full of opportunity and possibility.

I'm a photographer. I'm almost completely self taught. In high school I was taught black and white film developing as part of a course to join the yearbook staff. I started playing around with the school's old film SLR cameras and shooting and developing my own black and white film. That small introduction sparked my interest which has grown ever since.

Tools of the trade:

Canon EOS 30D DSLR camera body, 8.2 MP
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L Lens
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer USM Lens
Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 Aspherical Lens
Canon 50mm f/1.8 II Lens
Canon 580EX II Speedlite E-TTL II External Flash
Adobe Photoshop CS2

Music is my other great passion. I have played the guitar since I was 8, and also the piano when I was a kid. I'm a big supporter of local and regional musicians and bands. I am so ecstatic that my friends from Halestorm, whom I have followed since I was a kid in high school, are getting their shot with a major record label. Hopefully they will become the next big thing in rock! Some of my favorite locals:

*Halestorm (PA)*
*Spinebelt (PA)*
*Stuck In Kaos (WV)*
*Ninetail (PA)*
*Throdl (PA)*
*Spit Can (PA)*
*Afreudianslip (MD)*
*Jacobs Ladder (PA)*
*Adrenaphine (PA)*
*Primal Embrace (PA)*
*Stuck on High (PA)*

I enjoy hiking to waterfalls in the Poconos and the Endless Mountain region of Pennsylvania. There are over 150 waterfalls in Pennsylvania and I have been about half of them.

I enjoy urban exploring. I love dead, historic and forgotten buildings and find beauty in the decay.

I'm very interested in Anthracite mining history in Pennsylvania, the once great steel industry of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation and the preservation of historic locations.
