This is the OFFICIAL Leakmob Records street team! We're going to be doing some amazing things and will have some incredible opportunities for everyone involved (prizes, exclusives, etc)! Bear with us as we get things rolling!
So what does a street mobster do?? You would "promote," "market," "create awareness†and “build excitement" for our artists by setting up listening parties online, promoting tour dates, posting banner ads, blogging about our artists on music and related lifestyle sites… and anything else creative you can come up with to generate sales & raise awareness of our artists. You’re only limited by your own enthusiasm and imagination!
Street Team FAQ's
Q: What will I be expected to do as a member of the Street Mobsters?
A: Members of the Street Mobsters are expected to complete a number of different tasks every few weeks:
1) Distribute any promotional material you are sent to outlets we deem necessary (as stated in "The Guide To Street Teaming")
2) To maintain a constant presence online promoting our bands and spreading the word about Leakmob Records.
3) To keep track of everything you do and sent in weekly reports to us so we know what you've been up to!
Q: Will my work ever be checked? How will Leakmob Records evaluate the work I do?
A: Street Mobsters will send in reports every couple of weeks that list everything they've done, and they'll also include pictures of any promotional materials they've distributed. We may also ask for screenshots of anything you've posted online.
Q: How can I best communicate with Leakmob Records & with other Street Mobsters?
A: MYSPACE! We strongly encourage our street team members to create myspace pages for their respective regions. Example: Street Mobsters - Chicago, Street Mobsters - Cleveland, etc. Once you become a member of the Street Mobsters, you'll be provided with the phone number of Leakmob Records staff member in charge of the street team, and you're encouraged to call with anything questions you might have.
Q: What are my rewards for being a member of the Street Mobsters?
A: Lots and lots of free goodies and prizes! We have a point system set up, and you'll be able to earn numerous prizes. Trust me when I say we have some really great things lined up for you! You'll also gain lots of experience working in the industry. I know lots of people think that street teaming isn't really "working in the music industry," but they're wrong. Record companies and artists would be nothing without dedicated street team members! We consider hard working street teamers a part of the Leakmob Records family!
