Infectious indie folk pop...

About Me

Click Here to Buy It Now!“Founded by former Kid Harpoon Guitarist in 2008 and crashing onto the London music scene, Jack Green & the Band of Thieves are proving to be one of London’s most vibrant and exciting acts. With a blend of indie, folk and rockabilly sounds, their music creates a mood that could soundtrack a British summer’s day.”
Taking influences from artists Bob Dylan, The Kinks, Tom Waits and The Beatles, Jack Green creates an original and organic fusion of classic song-writing, catchy melodies and a set of tunes that are bound to get a toe tapping reception.
The band has been gigging the London scene for some time and has formed a reputable fan base with a regular turn out. Jack Green have already earned their stripes supporting artists such as Bombay Bicycle Club and Kate Nash in a sell out gig in her native Harrow. They have also played with up and coming band The Thirst supporting LMHR charity. The band has just finished a residency at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes.

“I like, I especially like the imagery, it all ties up nicely, reminds me of robin hood. so you're the maid marion...”

Louise Naughton - Harrow Observer
"The music industry is overrun with manufactured, squeaky clean pop stars so to see four local guys and a girl with genuine passion and dedication to their own style of music is a breath of fresh air..... Their infectious beats can get anyone dancing and they are instantly likeable"

Kelly Betts - BBC Introducing...
"Piano, violin, electronic bass, the list could continue. This band were strange and quirky and I'm pretty sure that was Steve Buscemi on bass! Their music is almost acoustic folk with a sense of eeriness to it."

Cornelious Eacott
"Adorned with tweed and flat caps, the sextet kicked off with enthusiasm and great energy, opening a new dimension, too rock to be skiffle, too folk to be indie-pop. My favourite was their second tune, “Full English” ' a slice of silliness supplemented by a slight squeeze of ska. The band glided between the style of 'gypsy-folk-punk' made popular by Gogol Bordello and a jumpy-ska-pop-indie sound. The most inventive stuff I heard all night."
