Big Vim the rapper/producer, who's real name is Vimbisai Barbee. Vimbisai is an up coming artist from Durham, North Carolina. He was first introduced to hip hop by his older brother who sings. So Vimbisai started to get into poetry at the age of 7 and then at the age of 11 started to write lyrics for rap songs with his friends and having rap battles at school. The name Big Vim came from his friends and mostly everybody knows him as Big Vim. So he decided to use the name that he was known as. Vimbisai's dad who's a political activist/ father and provider gave Vimbisai a politically conscious mind which reflects in his music. Also having a mother from Africa keeps him closely in touch with his roots. Understanding the struggles of the people and his lyrical composition leaves a manifestation of what this life may put us through. A young lyrical musician who puts his heart into what he does hopes that you are able to relate and understand what he has to say.
