NADA
I love the voice of literature, the literary cries, the falling and rising- and everything that happens in between- of an indigenous people, hence my appreciation for Native-American works such as JOY HARJO's "She Had Some Horses," and other Native-American writers: N. SCOTT MOMADAY, ADRIAN C. LOUIS, LOUISE ERDRICH. African-American literature just simply feeds the soul, TONI MORISSON ("Beloved," her best!), CHESTER HIMES ("If He Hollers Let Him Go," damn!!), LANGSTON HUGHES, SUZAN-LORI PARKS, ROBERT HAYDEN, and always the lovely words of GIL SCOTT-HERON.of course the works of WOMEN in POWER: SYLVIA PLATH, ANNE SEXTON, ADRIANE RICH."The Alchemist," Paulo Coelho (all-time favorite) "House of Leaves," by MARK DANIELEWSKI (soooo trippy!!). "Delta of Venus," by i-don't-know-who. (gotta throw some EROTICA up in here if i gotta keep it real!)
