The Responsibilities:
I am just the lowly owner of the DJ Company, GT Sound. If you ever need anyone to DJ a party/event of any kind, I'm your man! In fact, most of the time, lately, if you need to find me you can find me practicing out in the pole barn, or on the weekends my partner and I DJ at Snowbird Lanes in Harrison!
I also have three great children, Eddie, Lola, and Zoey! They are little hellraisers at their current ages, but they are fun. I had to install every locking mechanism you could imagine into my house to keep them in check and the house somewhat intact. Even though Eddie and Lola's mother has seen fit to make sure that I have as little contact as possible with them. I love them to death and miss them soooo much. It is a shame that so many children have fathers who don't care and have to grow up without them, but it is soooo much more of a shame when children who have a father who cares and tries as much as I do, only to be ripped away...
I was, and will soon be continuing, my education at Central Michigan University as well. I am a History/English double major with Junior credit status. My focus in this degree is on ancient, that is pre-roman era, history and non-fiction writing. I was carrying a 3.97 GPA before I had to drop a little past mid semester, too late to actually drop my classes, due to Eddie being born.
The other side:
After all is said and done, and the weekend finally gets here, when there is time remaining, whenever that is??? I used to be found singing my ass off with some of my good friends at Snowbird Lanes or M&M's Landing Friday/Saturday night Karaoke shows. However, M&M's quit karaoke and subsequently closed down, and the Snowbird fired their DJ for a really crappy one, I needed a new place to go... So what did I do. I put in a bid to DJ there myself, and guess what, that's where I am! I can also be found at any Knull or Cohesion show that I can make, as they are all good friends of mine and great artists! If yer ever bored and in town when they play, you should definitely come check it out!
There is usually a huge after party bash somewhere also.... we really like to have fun on our free time, though lately I've been kinda less likely to partake!!
There are also a number of occasions where some of us will journey afar to other bars, such as Ruckle's Piere in Clare, or BDubs (that is Buffalo Wild Wings for those not up in the MP/pop Slang) in Mt. Pleasant to meet up with some of our other friends from farther away! Usually when one of my good friends (Eric) is the DJ of a show.
Another thing I love is going to after-parties and playing some drinking games. If you havn't figured it out yet, I especially like pong. Though I am not the greatest at the game I can usually hold my own before I get overly trashed ;) 4th of July weekend I went 21-4-0 with a 12 win streak with Sam as a partner.... Tim had to be the ball buster, though, Tim & I held a 10-0-0 record last time we played together!
I also can't get enough of attending concerts for some of my favorite bands, especially Knull, Cohesion, Sevendust, Disturbed, Rehab, Trace Adkins, Local bands or big events such as Ozfest, Warp Tour, 89x Bday bash, Rolling Rock Townfest, etc.
I'm also learning to play the guitar and drums. So if I'm not doing any of the above, chances are i'm practicing at those!
