About Me

I am a worship leader, guitarist, and songwriter who has just released my first CD of contemporary praise and worship songs entitiled "Let Heaven Come Down". My goal as a songwriter is to write songs that have the same criteria as those that I select for a Sunday morning worship service. They must be meaningful, memorable, and singable. My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.everydaypraise.com
Band Members: Al - vocals, all guitars, and some fretless bass; Jeff Keefer - keyboards; Pete Bierlein - drums and perc; Chris Chapman - bass; Jes VanderRoest and Elaine Kasten - BGV's
Influences: As a guitarist I've been influenced by players such as Phil Keaggy, Dann Huff, Steve Lukather, Eric Johnson, Larry Carlton and Pat Metheny. As a songwriter I try to write songs that congregations love to sing in worship like the songs by Paul Baloche or Chris Tomlin. Gary Sadler is one of my favorite writers. I also love anything Jazz.
Sounds Like: If you threw Vineyard and Integrity together... it would probably make a big crashing sound... other than that you might get songs like this. If you're into the songs of Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, Darrell Evans or MWS, I'd love to hear from you!

Larry Norman, 1947-2008

Post-Modern Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas today with my sisters and their families.  We had a meal together then we opened presents.  Afterwards the kids all sat around and played with their gift cards.
