About Me

about site

Welcome. Scroll down and put some
tunes on while you're here.
Genesis 1:31 says, "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." Genesis 6:5 says, "The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of his heart was only evil all the time. The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain."
There is a great quagmire in the cosmos--a schism between true and false; is and ought; man and God. This site is dedicated to the celebration of that most epic of dramas as it plays out in flesh and spirit. I will periodically post quotes, pictures, essays, etc. that seem worthy of being dispersed throughout cyberspace. The majority of the images and literature will be my own with a few noted exceptions. Please enjoy (or not) and feel free to criticize, bash, and rebuke.

The Road to Happiness

Tubes of Boobs

Here's the thing about the old boob tube: it is the tool of people who want your money. Think about that. "You cannot serve God and mammon." "Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil." The desir...

Fighting, God, and Coolness

How deeply rooted in me are the culturally cultivated notions of what is cool and what isn't? Cool according to the world is the ability to acquire many and varied possessions, including women; status...

Jesus, Union of Contrasts

This is an excerpt from a piece by James Stuart. He was the meekest and lowliest of all the sons of men, yet he spoke of coming on the clouds of heaven with the glory of God.  He was so auster...

Nicene Creed

While this piece is common and ancient, I think it's highly worth checking out so that we can weigh it against what we know, search for further truth, or simply be affirmed in what we think we believe...

Grace for Change

How can spitting in the face of one who has blessed, and only blessed, be tolerated?  What has become of Justice when blessing is met with cursing and that cursing is returned with more blessing?...
