About Me

Hello-----Audio moonshine is a rock band based out of the land of "spud-rock." Here in Boise we have some great music, great people, and the greatest football team. Anyways, my name's Jake and my drummers name is Chad. Before the moonshine years we played in a band called Crash 4 for about 9 years. During that time we played close to 500 shows, and shared the stage with artists such as Collective Soul, Built to Spill, Leftover Salmon, Calobo, Sugarland, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Phantom Planet, Ben Lee, moe, REO speedwagon, Young Dubliners, Clumsy Lovers, and Korby Lenker to name a few. We even got to play at South-by-Southwest festival in Austin, TX. It was a blast and we had great fun and made great friends. But like all good things--it came to an end. Now we've taken a taste for the rock and roll side of the biz and created Audio Moonshine. We are in the studio right now trying to finish a record that has been in progress for about 3 years, and I can't wait for everyone to hear it. I've decided to take an approach that involves many musicians I've got to know over my 14 years of playing music. About half the songs will feature some of my Crash Four band mates (Kelly Martin, Rebecca Gourley) doing vocals, guitar, violin. I also have additional musicians like Rebecca Scott, Steve Fulton, Jason Roark, Dave Andrews, Larry Kiser, Dan Costello, Christine Thomas & Stephen "the Fritz" Mathie. So I'm hoping to create something diverse and unique. That being said I really have a hard time putting a "genre" on these tunes. Since I listen and respect so many different kinds of music, I hope it reflects.......So for now, we'll call it spud rock!! CHECK OUT THE NEW ALBUM AND ALL THE GUEST MUSICIANS PROFILES (bELOW)
