http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk2ixe3xlQI I am from Detroit Michigan. In the late 1960's, I took gallons of acid (LSD) and I saw the Stooges 500 times! While tripping, I learned to play the organ with my feet. In late 1975 until early spring of 1976, I was working in a record store Greenwich Village in New York City. One day Eric Purkhiser got a job there too. I met his girlfriend Kristy (who has my birthday, 2/20) and we formed a REAL rock'n'roll band. I did not know how to play a guitar, though. In NYC in those days, you could get away with shit like that. I bought my first guitar for $85, a Japanese 'Flying V' and Kristy showed my some barre chords. I then learned how to manipulate feedback. In June of 1976, my sister Pam Beckerleg moved from Detroit to be our drummer. We started gigging around as "The Cramps". The rest is history!
