About Me

degradable.... er..I am putting up songs and music I've worked on over the years. Mostly ideas that were midi compositions that never really made it any further than the experimental stage and or were done for fun and amusement. Figured I should do something with these old cassettes before the oxide returns to the earth. Hopefully I will eventually add new stuff and tracks from releases I have had the pleasure to work on with others. For now I'll just see what I can get away with. "Coming Home" is from Magna Carta Records release "Cairo-Time of Legends" on which Luis Maldonado and myself were the guitarists. I like this track and it features a great trio of solos Luis Maldonado- Mark Robertson - Brian Hutchison, in that order. It clocks in at 7:08 min. All other compositions are written and performed by me. Why? you may be asking.....and surely you would be correct.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Some notes on tunes: Studio 1 is Brian all parts sequenced and recorded in one evening with everything midi sequenced except vocals and guitar track Man Out of Control is Kenny Husted- Guitar,Delta Lab digital delay horns, bk voc and Brian-Drum programming, bass, guitar, synth, vocalsComing Home is Cairo, with Mark Robertson- Keys, Jeff Brockman- Drums, Bret Douglas- Vocals, Luis Maldonado- Guitar, Brian Hutchison- Guitar.I am currently using my preferred platform, SONAR and have been using Cakewalk products since "Flying beyond the 9" with James Byrd. We used Pro Audio 9 to produce both that album and "Anthem". Eurostar Sleeper was done using a Roland JV1080, and SONAR software synths in a few quick tracks. The underlying bass line and other parts played manually (not sequenced) start to finish hence the inherent slop.
Influences: Oh...everything. Win Kutz, The Moondogs, Mr. Weaver, The Scorcers Apprentice with Gordon and Griff and Larry and Tom and Nellie and Bob and Tom. John, Paul, George , Ringo and George and Mal and that band they had. Bands like Yes, ELP, Gentle Giant , Henry Cow, Mr. Bungle, Christmas and Mighty John Henry. Cairo, Steely Dan, Spanky and our Gang (Leapord skin phones) ...is that everything?,,sheesh, we could use some more bands. OK, Beethoven, Bach, and Blue Cheer. Frank Z, Frank Oz, Frank S, Frankenstein (Edgar Winter), Paul Williams, Brad Paisley, Andreas Oberg, Django, Frank Gambale, Paul Gilbert, Kevin Gilbert, John McGlothlen, Billy Cobham, Jan Hammer, Don Mock. Jay Wasco, The Sonics, The Troggs, Gary Snyder, Art Tatum, Stanley Clarke, Al DiMeola, Lenny White, Chick Correa, Gary Newman, Devo, Arthur Rubenstein, Rudolph Firkusny, Bob Moog, Walter Sear, Chuck Ainlay, Wix, Terry Howard, El Topo, and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die!!" , you'd think with this many influences I'd have some better stuff on here than this crap huh?.. David Lynch, J.P Patches, Gertrude, Mom, Ron Davis, George Peterson, Oscar Peterson, Nostrebor and No-slip, Mike Phelan, and Jimi Hendrix are the ones that come to mind at this moment. Oh yeah, any Don Knotts especially The Ghost and Mr. Chicken's Luther Heggs & Barney. Fred MacMurray - The Absent Minded Professor.
Sounds Like: Somebody got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.....
