About Me

Steve has been playing along the Grand Strand for many years. Coming to the area in the 70's, he started out working restaurants walking around to each table with just a guitar and playing whatever the people wanted to hear. He worked for the Marityme Beach club playing their pool parties and getting to know the people. He started playing the afternoon deck parties at Fat Harold's oceanfront club HOTO'S. He also worked for many years at at Capt. Poo's on the waterway. Eventually he was opening for the beach bands like the Tam's and the Drifters and many others at CT's Nitelife. Steve plays guitar and sings, he also plays harmonica, once he added playing the bass pedals with his feet he earned the name The One Man Band. Everything he does is live with the exception of a rhythm unit. His playlist includes almost everthing you could think of. He plays southern rock, blues, beach, rock, country, bluegrass, easy listening, classic rock, standards, tropical favorites like Jimmy Buffett. After working locally and traveling around the East Coast he met and married his wife Susie, and has two great boys, Steve 15 and Nick 12. After slowing down to raise a family he has decided once again to get back to the music. Although he is known as "The One Man Band" you never know when you may catch one of his sons sitting in for a song or two. After playing the Apache Pier as a "family act" through the summer they don't mind taking the stage. If you get a chance to stop by and give him a listen you won't be disappointed.
