I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a lover of music, of books, of dance, of travel, of lighthouses, of red convertibles, of warm summer breezes, of the smell of the ocean, of flowers, and of butterflies, of snow on Christmas day, of depression glass, of poetry, of all things southwestern, of home sweet home, of my family and the friends I will share forever friendship with and of the memories that fill my soul. I am young at heart and young in spirit. And this day, I celebrate these times of my life! For they are the only times that make my life what it is and my Life is Good!

What a large volume of adventures may be grasped within the little span of life by him who interests his heart in everything
Laurence Sterne

A positive attitude may not solve your problems
but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort Herm Albright
My journey has been one I would never want to change!
And all that jazz!!!
"A woman is like a tea bag-you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water
Nancy Reagan

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face
Ben Williams
Maxadoodle
...people who keeps dogs...are cowards who haven't got the guts to bite people themselves August Strindberg
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark too read
Groucho Marx

I love being

such as You Can't Go Home Again by Thomas Wolfe or The Plot by Irving Wallace or A Prayer for Owen Meaney by John Irving or Ken Follet's A Place Called Freedom
and I love the of Robert Frost The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
and of Dylan Thomas ...Do not go gentle into that good night, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
and of William Butler Yeats Though leaves are many, the root is one; Through all the lying days of my youth I swayed my leaves and flowers in the sun; Now I may wither into the truth.

and of Ralph Waldo Emerson Success: To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!

The contents of someone's bookcase are part of his history, like an ancestral portrait
Anatole Broyard

The angels among us

Angels may not always come when you call them, but they will always come when you need them.

Jon Paul

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, he became a Butterfly ...and the Butterfly is a joyful symbol of metamorphosis...
My Mother and Father

You have no birthday because you have always lived; you were never born, and never will you die. You are not the child of the people you call mother and father, but their fellow-adventurer on a bright journey to understand the things that are. Every gift from a friend is a wish for your happiness...Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we'll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that can never end.
