After turning down graduate school in London England to pursue his dream of being a host, Kev Brown has made great progress taking advantage of the opportunity to host mtvU’s Dean’s list with his own top ten video countdown. This former Clark Atlanta University Men’s Basketball scholar-athlete is no stranger to music or hosting. A regular at hosting fashion shows, parties a radio show and other local events Kev thanks his upbringing for his musical consciousness. Kev immersed himself in the bay area’s eclectic culture, becoming well seasoned in all genres of music. “Music is in my blood, it’s what I knowâ€, boasts the rising star.Since returning home from London, where he furthered his Fashion Design studies after graduating with duo degrees in Fashion Design/ Merchandising and Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University, Kev has become a beacon for children everywhere within the United States foster care system. It's an important role for this Magna Cum Laude and National Business Honor Society graduate given the less than 2% higher education statistics of foster care children. He is a foster care advocate and has also dedicated himself to children at local Boys and Girls Clubs as well as high schools by speaking and volunteering to help them see a bright future for themselves. Born in San Francisco, California and raised in Vallejo, California, Kev is living proof that life is only 5% of what happens to you and 95% of how you react to it, growing up in foster care himself from the age of 1-18 he has made it a point not to let circumstance dictate his future.
