About Me

Shlomo and the Vocal Orchestra are the UK's first Human Beatbox Choir.
Led by acclaimed British beatbox artist Shlomo, the Vocal Orchestra consists of some of the UK's top vocal and beatbox talent. They make music beyond your wildest expectations, and it is all done with just the voice!
Having made their debut headlining the International Beatbox Festival at London's Southbank Centre in March 2007, they went on to astonish a crowd of up to 10,000 at the Big Chill music festival in August of the same year. That October, the Vocal Orchestra were the subject of Colette McWilliams' feature documentary 'The Beatbox Choir', which premiered at The Purcell Room to an ecstatic crowd.
In May 2008 the Vocal Orchestra created the World's Largest Beatbox Choir as part of Southbank Centre's Chorus Festival, and went on to perform to over 20,000 people at Glastonbury's Park Stage. For this 2 hour show they acted as a the backing band as Shlomo brought on famous guests to perform spontaneous and unrehearsed collaborations. Sweet!
