BeatnikBrown is an eclectic arrangement of musicians, brought together by happenstance, pouring their souls out for anything from a pleasant smile to a tip in the hat. Striving to close the perception gap between art and music into a one collective arrangement, BeatnikBrown takes it to the streets -- from supporting the art district in old city to the local ale house and outdoor festivals, this band is eager to provide art for your ears, anytime, anywhere. BeatnikBrown's music is as varied as its musicians, ranging from funk/rock/groove to rip-roaring blues-keyed jams, and often the mood of the audience leads the direction and energies of the music. Stick around long enough and you might even catch some hip hop or three-part harmonies! BeatnikBrown loves to engage in free form music and pushes the concept of improv - improvisation founded on the soul of music.
