First things first. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. If you wanna get more personal hit up www.myspace.com/theinvader. My artist name is Massakre, not massacre. Iam not a "massacre" if you will. Therefore, I flipped the "c" to a "k" because I’m not all about killings/murders. If I do speak on these subjects, its in a musical/lyrical sense. How’d I get this name? My pops let me stay up late one night when I was 13 on a school night (rare for me) to watch documentaries on mafias. The word "massacre" was mentioned repeatedly and I believed I dreamt about it that night and it has stuck every since. I’ve been writing rhymes since the age of 12, 13. Freshman year I recorded a song about AIDS for Health class and got an A++ and the teacher insisted I give her a copy. I recorded the song with two boomboxes in my bedroom (one for the instrumental, the other for its mic). The next couple of years (99, 2000) I would record with the same two boomboxes to cassette tapes. In Nov. 2001 after I graduated high school, me and another friend (Twan aka Bravo) from high school created Oddball Musik with three other artists as well, totaling 5. This time we recorded at my friend’s house with Sonic Foundry Acid 2.0 and a webcam that just so happened to have a mic in it as well lol. We downloaded free beats as well as did our production with Music Generator and Fruity Loops. We actually were able to burn CD’s at this point so it was exciting. Unfortunately, by 2002 we were down to three members. The hunger was there but transportation and other musical differences caused somewhat of a clash. By 2003, I had Sonic Foundry 3.0 and a new headphone mic as did my partners. Quality was getting better and we were still trying to avoid studio costs. I recorded with A.N.D. & Headless Horsemen, DJ Spot & Leo K3, Green Finger, Shang Hi, Phyzikal, Bravo and a few others for my "Love it or Leave It" compilation. At this time Bravo and Phyzikal (first cousins) had plans of their own to push out an album. 2004, things continued on the same pace but slowed down until Sept. ’04 when I opened for Third Frame at Kaysan’s Fifth Down. I began to compile a few tracks I had recorded earlier and put out my first official album "Take Cover EP" in early 2005. In May of 2005, I lost all the music, writings, etc. to a house fire and damn near quit... that is until Epitaph found me one night at Columbia St. and approached me ready to put in some work!! Shortly thereafter, Hometown Hooligans scooped me up to join the roster and every since summer ’05 Ive been hard at work doing shows and recording for the "Reignstorm" LP (my follow up album to Take Cover) which most likely will drop this summer 2007. I took life’s trials and tribulations as well as the good times and celebrations into this album and its 100% heart and 100% Massakre. The first single "M.M.M." is out now.»-(¯..v..¯)-» Design your MySpace with MyLook «-(¯..v..¯)-«
