About Me

So I guess I'm supposed to summarize myself. What do you say when asked, "who are you?" You'll never learn from a website. Layout made by VEGANbandit at CreateBlog.com .

My Interests

Sleep. Ebay. Coffee. The ocean. Being domestic. Your mom.

I'd like to meet:

Everybody tends to say Jesus here, but I've already met him.

Music:

My favorite song EVER is Jars of Clay's "Worlds Apart." I'm listening to a lot of Goo Goo Dolls lately, and Led Zeppelin's "IV." And I'm not hating country music like I used to (what?!)

Movies:

The Little Mermaid, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Shawshank Redemption, and movies where lots of things blow up. I usually won't even notice a putrid script if I'm distracted by lots of explosions.

Books:

The Bible. Things by J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Robert Jordan, J.K. Rowling, or L.M. Montgomery. St. Augustine's Confessions. Dante's Inferno. I hate Plato.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ for saving me. Mother Teresa for making a difference. My Grandmother for being an amazing woman of faith. My brother and all the other US soldiers that are so underappreciated. Melanie Hilden for not giving up on me. Bekah for listening, Ali and Big T for sticking by me. that woman from the Clear staff who moved a massive bunk bed with her butt.

My Blog

but deaf people can't hear!

bekah yelled at me for not posting and then yelled at me for hogging the computer.  so this is what you get.   "this mallamoment is brought to you by Hayley Dalgleish."

I hope Neil Young will remember, a southern man don't need him around, anyhow.

#3 in the Gainesville series, originally posted on livejournal at 11:47 pm on April 25, 2004. So at 5:30, Laura calls me and tells me she needs help with tech. My response is "oh crap, that exam is&nb...

But not a real green dress, that's cruel.

#2 in the Gainesville/UF story series: Meryl and the Zerns dragged me to a frat party like the second week of school.  I didn't know anyone but the three of them, and everyone was drunk but the f...

Oh, you betcha, Iris.

So Chell and I were talking today about who we would cast in the movie version of our lives.  Amy was easy, we cast Robin Wright (Forrest Gump, The Princess Bride).  So was Cameron: Matt Dam...

You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille!

I've been thinking a lot about my freshman year, so prepare yourselves for a series of blog entries devoted to stories about UF and Gainesville. Number 1: There is an event at UF called the Undie 500....

Stop asking questions and eat your cheerios.

Reposted from livejournal for Jon Francis' benefit... I'm pretty sure most of the rest of you know this story. Once upon a time there was a pair of interns named Laurel and Justin. Laurel was really c...

I have to complain to someone.

Today is July 10, and I still have no classes for fall, because PBA Central refuses to remove my financial hold.  I have a financial hold because they have not processed my refund from LAST fall ...

and maybe tomorrow...

I didn't realize how long it had been since I last updated.  You probably know all the major things that have happened since St. Patrick's Day, which weren't many.  I still work for St...

It's not really a rant...

I would just like to comment on how sad it is that in the United States, St. Patrick's day is viewed as a day on which to wear and green and on which it is socially acceptable to be publicly wasted on...
