Influences: Jhypsy's local musical inspirations over the years have been musicians in the family, Roger Culter, Mike Raymer, & Joe Shockley. Other inspirations have been, Bob Dylan, Led Zepplin, Monster Magnet, Link Wray, The Irish Rovers, Black Sabbath, John Prine, Robby Roberson, various surf musicians, folk music, traditional music, tribal music, & classic 70's musicians.
Sounds Like: Jhypsy trys to just keep it real & play what he feels. He's been told he has a unique sound because he combines middle eastern scales with a blues/folk/latin style. He mixs in a lil' surf riff here & there.
