running, hiking, climbing, reading, computers, going on Adventures, cnn.com, scrabulous, history, new month resolutions, ukulele, knowledge, Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, USC athletics, mexican food, non-sweetened iced tea, crack cocaine, beagles, my family, tennis, seeing live music, exploring California, commuting, anything that makes me or the people around me laugh, free food, camping, National High Five Day, holidays in general, peanut butter, multi-player video games, mass slaughter of Gallus gallus for consumption by Homo sapiens, wikipedia, Democracy, spell check, lower gas prices, and that's it. I am not interested in anything else. (edit - except for the music, films, television, books and heroes listed below, I am interested in them too.)

Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, NOFX, Mos Def, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Tenacious D, Wolfmother, Ladytron, M.I.A., Paul Van Dyke, most trance music, smooth jazz, anything non-country basically.

Movies:

The Big Lebowski, Old School, Rounders, Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle, comedies mainly... The Bourne Trilogy, LOTR, The Departed, Godfather I & II, Ernest Goes to Camp, No Country for Old Men.

Television:

Seinfeld, Sportscenter, Sopranos, Deadwood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, The Wire, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Cops, The Office, anything on The History Channel, Survivorman, Man Vs. Wild (even though Bear is a pussy and stages everything), Mythbusters, any sport except for auto-racing and any women's "sport".

Books:

Stephen King, Neil Stephenson, anything historical. I'll read just about anything that looks interesting. I've started reading Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon more times than I can count, one of these days I'll finish it.

Heroes:

Dean Karnazes, the Ultramarathon Man
