Bethany Davis, vocalist/dancer/songwriter/actress, began singing in the church at the tender age of five. Born in Fontana, California and relocating to New York City with her family at the age of ten, she has experienced the best of both worlds. She has been classically and professionally trained in vocal music and performance and hip/hop and Caribbean dancehall by such notable companies and individuals as Lincoln Center Alumni, The Alvin Ailey School of Dance, and the All City Chorus.
Recently named "Who's Next" by VH1, Bethany has recently opened up for such platinum recording artists as Busta Rhymes and Ron Browz, and has modeled and appeared on BET's Rip the Runway 2009 and Fashion Week NYC 2009. This Songstress garnered Best Rock/Pop Female Artist and Best Model in the Upstate Music Awards 2008, in her First year of being nominated. Bethany also, was the only artist in the 2008 awards ceremony to receive multiple honors. Ms. Davis was blessed with the opportunity to utilize her Caribbean dance training to win Ms. Loveborn Dancehall Queen of NY 2008. Bethany travels and performs with the band Dynasty Sounds and Dynasty Ladies Entertainment, whose appearances include Nassau Colliseum, Power 105.1 FM, Hot 97, European tours, amongst various other venues. Bethany's exclusive new music video "Lose Control"(choreographed by Ciara's choreographer) is heating up the airwaves nationally as well as internationally. You can also catch some of Bethany's latest music on roatation in a city near you on such stations as: 1240am radio, 94.7 FM, 104.7 FM blogtalkradio and SARF FM international radio.
Solidifying the title of NYC IDOL 2007, Bethany is the first vocalist to win this renowned talent competition. Achieving this accolade by performing a riveting rendition of the infamous and arduous song "And I Am Telling You", and an original soul Rhythm and Blues ballad, NYC IDOL catapulted Ms. Davis' career. She has also garnered first place in such illustrious talent competitions as Club Eugene's "Hottest Caribbean Dancer" competition, and the NAACP ACT-SO. With her soulful Rhythm and Blues overtones and versatile pop undertones, Bethany has been blessed with the capability to captivate various audiences. Throughout her career, Bethany has also performed on BET's 106th & Park and The Center, on WBAI 101.9 FM Radio in New York City, at Lincoln Center, on the Spirit of New Jersey Yacht with KISS FM, at WB Channel 11 Studios, The Hammerstein Ballroom, The Museum of Radio and Television, City Hall, Hunter College, Marrymount College, Center Stage, The Brooklyn Music Company, The Elite Ark, Club Speed, The Tribeca Hotel, Shooting Star Theater, The Chinaclub, The Supper Club, amongst several other venues. Bethany just recently appeared in Busta Rhymes "Arab Money" music video and Hell Rell of Dipset's "Show Off" music video; which aired on BET, MTV and VH1. You can also catch Ms. Davis modeling for such acclaimed designers as Juelz Santana's Z line (D' Couture), La Sharisa', J' atem', Urban Runway, Alve, Urban Couture, and Tough City Entertainment. With her debut album coming soon, Ms. Davis continues to promote for the clamoring scene.
