Young Cens@tion aka Roberto Young was born Christopher O'neal Carter in 1987. He was raised in Thomaston, GA, also known as Upson County located 68 miles south of Atlanta on US 19. The City of Thomaston has approximately 10,000 residents, and Upson County has approximately 27,500. So you can see that this artist comes from a small community repping the southside of Atlanta. This artist has been writing and rhyming since the age of twelve and continue to not stop. Most people did not know Young Cens@tion had this gift. He was always a quiet boy growing up and kept such talents to himself. The young artist didn't take this serious until he reached the age of eighteen. So as this young artist graduated from high school he received a football scholarship to attend a four year private school in Iowa. While in Iowa he met and formed a group with some of his teammates calling themselves the G-A BOYZ. Young Cens@tion made his first studio debut, recording four songs with the group. Wanting to get their music out there the group agreed on a showcase with the school. After the show the group received a lot of good comments on their performance and this meant a lot to the young artist. After the school year was over, Young Cens@tion returned home and decided to do his solo thing. This young artist went straight to work and end up collaborating with one of his best friends/cousin, Terell, known as T-Freaky aka Freak-Show. Together they dropped a(an) mixtape
known as New 2 Da Game in 2007 which had over 20 tracks. After being out the spotlight for a min, Young Censation decided to form another group along with Freak-Show, calling themselves (100 GRAND). Young Censation along with his group(100 GRAND) had their first performance as part of the(Born to Succeed Artist Showcase Part 3) on March 19th of 2010 that was hosted by Slip-N-Slide Artist (Ms. Comai). Although they didnt place in the top 3, they still recieved great feedback on their music. They immediately got back in the studio and went to work, recording 4 to 5 songs in one day. Being that the first mixtape was free and only over a dozen copies were given away, They decided to drop a new mixtape but keep the same name(New 2 Da Game). Their currently working on the mixtape, and theirs no official release date yet. Since then they have added a new edition to the group, who goes by the name of (Wild Redd), and who is also Cens@tion's nephew and youngest in the group at the age of (18). On May 11, 2010, Young Cens@tion had his first interview with a radio station known as Scavengers Radio. Scavenger Radio is a online radio station located in Atlanta that plays unsigned artists music 24/7 thats broadcast all over the world. After his interview and after premiering his unreleased single "CALL ME" Featuring Eldred King, Young Cens@tion got a lot of great comments and requests.
